SAGPA AGM
Thanks Johan for a great AGM - even though I missed most of it.

The Sagpa 2007 AGM was a great event and at the same time even greater disappointment. Total of 13 Gyro's including Basie's resident M16.
Guys we have to support Johan and his commitee and we need get togethers like this. You missed ot on a great weekend with the best flying I have had. We had such a lot of laughs and shared good stories.
Thank to Basie and his team for exellent accommodation and food.
Hope to see you all by the next SAGPA event, of which there will be a lot more in future.

also because the website is useless. I have already mentioned this to Johan personally. If Greg ( Eagle1) didn't mention on a thread that he and Jetranger were off to the AGM I wouldn't have known that it was the past weekend.
I can assure you if it was communicated properly the turnout would have been huge. Nobody that I spoke to knew the date for the AGM. I for one, definitely wanted to go.
It is even worse if one look at the explosion in Gyro sales the past year. Spoke to one of the MT reps - currently have orders for 16 new gyro's.
Interacting with the microlighters in hangar talk is great, and I surely hope this new section will spark some gyronauts to life on the forum.
Big thanx to you guys who made this section possible.

I am sure the SAGPA AGM would have been far better attended if a) it was better communicated and b) it was somewhere in the centre of the country rather than where it was. Hoedspruit is 1 584kms / 984 miles from Cape Town. Simply too far. I believe the Carnarvon fly in is such a success because its central in the country.

That flight down was the most awesome flight I have done in a gyro, flying in between the Three Rondavels (in perfect conditions of course)!
See the gyro ahead of me just before the Three Rondavels in the top photo!
