You don't say which particluar gyro make or kit your interested in? Most of the gyro's in SA these days seem to be fully-imported factory-asssembled (Magni, Ela, MT-03 etc) however I think some RAF's are also available as homebuild kits and Eben Mocke Snr is probably your best bet there. You'd also do well to take a look at the Rotary Wing Forum which has quite a lot gyro build info and LOTS of debate on various models and modification.
The South African Gyroplane Assoc (SAGPA) website also has some articles and review links for various gyro models available in SA.
