Interesting Propellor Pic

Postby ICEMAN » Wed Mar 07, 2007 12:29 pm

Took this pic with my cell phone camera a few weeks ago, the blacks stripes are the prop of a cessna 441 spinning at cruising rpm @ 31000ft.

Weird picture!! I have noticed that a trikes prop looks really wonky if taken by a cel camera.

I think whats happens is that rather than like a proper camera which takes a picture using the sensor basically instantly. The cel uses a scan type search. So it starts in the top right and scans across and then the next line down and so on. so the long streak is the prop position as the cel scanned that part of the picture...

Or thats what I think atleast... iether that or its some alien space craft that you narrowly missed.
