Comet McNaught

Postby Duck Rogers » Fri Jan 19, 2007 9:21 pm

Has anyone else seen the Comet C/2006 P1 McNaught this week? Tomorrow evening will probably the last sighting as it moves further away from the sun and gets dimmer. From about 19h30 onwards (Gauteng) look out towards the South Western horizon. You may get lucky.

I had a good view of it tonight from my deck from about 19h30 to 20h00.

The attached picture was not taken by me, but it is the McNaught comet and just about exactly what was visible tonight.
