when i gave a talk at the JH automechanika, a gent from ABB was also there and spoke of similar motors for automotive applicaitons.

Pricing is the main issue here, if you think Rotax charge an arm and a leg for their engines, be prepared for bad news with these applicaitons... they are expensive.
