Flying with Falcons

Postby Thunderboy » Fri May 05, 2006 9:50 am

Did any of you see this on National Geographic last night.
This guy who happens to fly hang gliders, microlights, helicopters and fixed wings, takes a falcon (real bird) up to 15 000 ft and sky dives with them.

They measured these falcons diving at over 150mph and breaking their dive just 1 second before hitting the ground.
Guess we will never be able to compete with what God has made

Try catch a repeat of the pogramme if you can, even if ts just to watch the flying machines.

I watched that program. It was absolutely awesome!
At the end, according to the Narrator, and what they didn't show was that the Falcon eventually reached 240mph!
