This guy should be tamed!

Postby Henni » Thu Sep 23, 2010 11:42 am

Hi all,

I put a decent completely legal add in Gumtree ( http://johannesburg.gumtree.co.za/c-Boa ... Z230117141 ) for my Basic 4000 microlight and then I receive this reply:

From: qoberloz@gmail.co.za

I am a micro light pilot - this is an accident lokking to take place this piece of coffin must be demolished now before you idiots kill an novice and we micropilots get the blame - i am also going to take this ad MISSASA

Now if someone wants to follow this up, please do so.

Regards,
Henni

ouch!!

My reaction... if he don't like how it looks, he doesn't have to buy it. Just a quick question though.. is it really worth selling at R19k?

Ignorance...

Although he may have got the wrong end of the stick and assumed it is unlicensed because you cannot see reg numbers? Maybe his reading skills are as bad as his spelling and missed the bit about the paperwork being up to date.

I agree with him..... Are you MAL.......

R19K is a bargain........

Where the F... Does the box think "microlights" come from. He needs to show a little respect......   While I am bang of the 2 axis and earlier types I know a couple guys who learnt to fly on these and I have huge respect for them....

Imagine if he pitched at Kitty Hawk in 03. We'd all still be driving bicycles but still paying MISASA fees (fees bit was a joke     )

PS
I would also take this ad to MISASA. I think they have a classifieds section. If not there is one on EAA.org.za puff

Hi Henni, you probably gave the poor friendless soul exactly what he is looking for - attention.

Best to ignore these comments - from the piture there is absolutely no evidence that this plane is not airworthy - in fact from the information posted, looks like a bargain to me.

These things are capable flyers, as long as you remain within their performance envelope and ideal weather conditions. Perhaps the poster had a problem with one of them, when the envelope was pushed.

I'll wait for his letter of complaint at Misasa and respond accordingly

Well excuse me! I fly one of these 'coffins' - legal with all the paperwork and ATF up to date as well. Its a great little plane and we have tons of fun in it, although it has a limited range and you need a flask of coffee and a sandwich to do a circuit. In the past year or two one pilot got his licence in it and another CPL converted onto microlights in it.

Hi C205,

That he is a fool has already been demonstrated in his writings.
It's better for people to think that you are a fool than open your mouth or write and thereby remove all doubt.

Do not argue with a fool as they reduce you to their level and beat you with experience.
