A Botswana - Zimbabwe Adventure

Postby Ian » Fri Sep 11, 2009 6:45 am

I have just read John Waterson's report of his trip last week up to Botswana and Zim in a Savannah, it is great :)

Valuable for all of us is the info he has logged at the end of the document for those wanting to fly into these areas 8)

Well worth a read. http://www.savannahac.co.za/news.php

Well done John :!:

Thanks Ian

Here an extract:-
"Maun is the centre of Tourism in Northern Botswana and every morning and evening sees a migration. It is a well known local phenomenon known as the 210 migration. These metal winged birds joined by other species of a similar character like AirVans and Cessna Caravans; depart in their droves for all corners of the delta to drop off tourists and supplies. We were met at the local restaurant over the road from Maun airport, “Bon Arivee”,"
