Safety Bulletin - Black October Etc

Postby MILO » Tue Mar 17, 2009 4:48 pm

I received my Notams etc from the powers that be (you know the plastic envelope with the white and yellow pages in that are generally outdated) & read the safety bulletin contained therein. Guess what lots of statistics but no outcomes learnings etc, lots of waffle. Give me the facts, if we want to save GA in SA then we need to know the facts so these things don't happen again. Why is it taking so long to get the outcomes of these tragic events? I feel sorry for the pilots out there who do not have access or don't use this website or have the inside track or know people who know people who can give one an idea of events leading up to some of the accidents. For the most part our website is fairly open and well moderated so we get most of the picture. There is also a mature attitute of "No Blame", the intention is not to punish but discover what happened so it may not happen to us. Just lately we have seen comments from the family, & friends of people involved in these incidents, that says a lot about the microlighters on this forum.
Keep up the good work guys, we obviously can' rely on the bureaucrats.
If you can fly today - leave everything else for tomorrow
