Re: Cubby Owners
Cars are over rated.
A mile of road takes you a mile. A mile of runway takes you anywhere..." I forgot who said it, but I live by it....
PS
Me I like cheap and nasty or as they say in the classics GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY....

PS
Ja. She takes half your stuff (incl. the car the Jet and usually the mistress as well) to share with your best mate and you have to sell the car & Jet to keep them in the life they are accustomed to... Chicks, (helicopters) and Jets just cost too much money...johnsa wrote: You know how this story ends?

Re: Cubby Owners
Hi Mike
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, but I am in Angola at the moment. I will post a clip on youtube from my Flycam as soon as I get a better connection so you can see the quality.
Unfortunately my Flycam is no more, the nifty trick of using the supplied velcro to mount the flycam turned out to be terrible idea and I advise using a more secure means of securing the Flycam.
On a flight out last week over Loskop dam, by chance had a look out the window to see my Flycam holding on by the last threads of velcro. It made for some interesting flying, as I slowed the plane to 60mph and then squeezed the controls between my legs. The plan was then to use my right hand to open the door and reach back and retrieve the camera from beneath the wing before it flew off.
Well!!! didnt quite work out that way, and every time I opened the door the wind wanted to rip it out my hands, so sensibility got the better of me and decided to rather risk the camera than the aircraft. Few minutes later camera departed the aircraft, so I am in the market for another Flycam!!!
I have ordered Great Plains assembly manual and DVD set as well as (How To Rebuild Your
VW Air-Cooled Engine) from http://www.greatplainsas.com/scbooks.html
As soon as I receive the set I will let you know how good they are, as I have also struggled to find decent info on the VW engine myself.
I run my Cubby on 1/3 Avgas to 2/3 95 unleaded. I have been told that LRP is more suitable, but it seems everyone as their own opinion as to what is best.

Hi Clive saw you land back on Saturday. Presumably after your flycam departure. We were flying that funny looking pre-Wright microlight
