@ GR8-DAD:

Nee, dit was nie heeltemal nie 'n verrassing, ek het dit soort van in my water gevoel. Daar was ook nie eintlik 'n seremonie, dit was nie my eerste solo nie, ek het 'n aanpassing op 'n trike gedoen. My regte eerste solo was amper 30 jaar gelede. Dit was 'n bietjie van 'n storie om so 'n ligte vliegtuig te leer vlieg, en dan nog ene waar alles verkeerd om werk.

So what would your estimate be of the difference in weight between a trike and the other airies you fly  More than 450kg I bet :D :D

I still wish you took me up on my offer of taking you for a flip before you started your training - That way I could have said - I took you for a flip in my plane, now take me for a flip in yours :D :D

Congrats once again

Cheers

Hi David,

Thanks for the greetings. I really wanted to take up your offer to go and fly with you. I feel a bit  that it did not work out. However I still would like to fly with you some time. When would it suit you? Let me know so that we can meet.

Regards,
Arnulf

Some pics of Niel Cooper, first solo touch-down. And the cooling down afterward, FAFK style:) (maybe that should go under club traditions?)Junkie had to douse him twice and thats not pleasant on a cold cape winter morning!!!

Congrats Niel.

Will drop these and more off at the office with hannie on CD this afternoon.

hey boet - ja thats me. ya i passed. (89%) you got to know acronymns properly (ie aeronatical vs aviation).

dont think this was in book:
emergency freq: 121.5
panpan

otherwise its pretty easy. Get it done asap cos then you can go solo. Im writing the radio with you as well. Pity its on a big party weekend :(
