Just to clarify, Alex did not have a problem with the advantages of the pump, just a concern about the legality (red tape) of the addition, as well as the insurance issues.

Ah - perhaps just get the paperwork in order then. It's worth it in my opinion.

Think we will get this one past CAA or eventually RAASA if the OEM disapproves? How do you suggest it done?

it would be interesting to know the CAA or eventually RAASA, OEM implications. :roll:
although fitting a backup pump is not exactly "REINVENTING the WHEEL" :)
