I also agree the forum is getting to quiet !!!

Seems like all the airfields/clubs is now doing there own things and fly aways are only known to that particular club.I am sure there is still a lot of
flying going on and the sport is growing or is it ? I also don't see the usual "Frikkie went solo" type posts!!

Lets see if we can get the club's to post some numbers of active members.

Ek is ook nog gereeld hier, would not call myself one of the "ou manne" either. This is more entertaining than whtsapp As Boet said all the redtape that we have to deal with is slowly getting at me too. I have invested a huge amount of dosh in my aircraft workshop, and , having taken over the Cubby manufcturing binds me to this trade for a good while to come.......been at it for 20 years this year and besides I kinda enjoy it

I want to start flying again but my license lapsed a number of years ago and I am also on BP pills so probably wont pass the medical

Also on BP tablets. Medical no real issue, just a slightly different protocol in that the stress ECG is every medical, and not every second one. Also medical validity shorter by half.

I had the ablation procedure done last year in August, on B.p. pills anti coagulants, cholesterol type 2 diabetes and I got my medical as long as everything is under control no problem. It takes a bit of effort cost more if your medical is not prepared to pay for all the blood tests or meds, but if you want to fly microlights or Lsa the only excuse is the one that you want not to fly.
