And then there is the Explorer. From Kitplanes for Africa. Local aerie, good cruise, nice range, roomy cockpit , speed not to shabby, good STOL performance and the price will not break the bank. http://www.saplanes.co.za

If you really want to save money there is the KR2 that is for sale at R85000 or the Zenair at R120000 or you can get a new Carl Babst Raven at about double that... and you can leave the latter outside as it is aluminium.
