This thread is becoming really interesting! Although I do not know much about the subject the talk I hear in the hanger from tailwheel pilots certainly seems that they are enjoying theit planes more than just nosewheel planes! Ideal of course is to have both... :D :D

Mogas best echo's my sentiments. Although I migrated from trikes to 3 axis, I wanted something different and went for a Bushbaby tail wheel. Even after an expensive tail wheel related mishap, I was passenger in my plane, I stayed with the tail wheel, despite numerous suggestions to use the opportunity to convert to nose wheel.

I now have 100 hours on the tail wheel and still see every landing as a possible ground loop, but so far so good.
