Pets

Postby Carel » Mon Dec 10, 2007 10:28 am

Ian,

Send over your BC to stay with us a summer. Will cure him completely. Have 5 Border Collies and thunder storms are an entertaining affair for them. The love to be wet, and try their utmost best to catch a thunder clap or lighting strike for me. They will runs miles after thunder claps and lighting. If they get tired of that, catching rain drops will keep them busy for hours.

Have always heard that BC`s are affraid of thunder and fire works, but never experienced it. Involved with BC`s for 22 years.

But then BC`s and aviation have the following in common ;

They both are twice as addictive as cocaine and trice expensive as cocaine.

Love my dogs (go with me every where) and love trikes (Ubfortunately still a student flyer - or non flyer)

BC

Postby Carel » Mon Dec 10, 2007 11:29 am

Ian,

Have one BC that is smarter than all the other put together. Juno has already learn to do kayaking with me (she rides on the deck), she excel in dog sledging (traditional the stomping place of husky`s - my BC team run them to ground) she has flown various fixed wing aircraft and we are teaching her to ride the backseat of a trike. Still wating for the special saftey harness.

All the BC`s are rescue dogs.

White rhino's - tame like cows. Very strong and quick when they need to be - but still, not aggressive and generally very docile.

Wonder if you would be standing there for a couple of blacks :?: :lol: "Me thinks" not :!: :twisted:

I was referring to Diceros bicornis as opposed to Ceratotherium simum.

Better now?

John Dont worry i knew exactly what you were talking about!! Event those buggers battled to keep the grass down in an area with 1500mm of annual rainfall. They also tended to trample my lawn and flower beds and had the horrible habit of sneaking up to me when having a pee in the garden at night!! Good times!!!

Was thinking more of " Do you mow over the landmines or just go round them?"

Sorry for the delayed reply Agent. My pet's behind photo is reserved for certain non Avcom members of my family (like my brother) that do not know one end of a plane from the other and think only nitwits fly... :twisted: :twisted:
