Also make sure you have the correct documentation in the aircraft, as per the ANR's:
Documents to be carried in aircraft
10.4 (2) An aircraft engaged in flight within the Republic shall carry the following documents or photocopies thereof:
(a) Its certificate of registration;
(b) its certificate of airworthiness;
(c) the appropriate licences for each member of the crew;
(d) the aircraft’s radio station licence;
(e) a certificate of safety for flight;
(f) an approved flight manual or equivalent;
(g) approved mass and balance data;
(h) a flight folio;
(i) an approved minimum equipment list, if applicable; and
(j) a list of visual signals for use by intercepting and intercepted aircraft.

You could also be a member of EAA. We promote recreational aviation, not just homebuilding. If you have something that flies or are just interested in flying, you are welcome to be a member. We are very active in KZN and many of our members own and fly microlights.
