Only reason I will sell my trike is to make space for a Air Creation Tanarg 582 with Ixess wing (Also a trike for the uninformed) or GT450.

Usually goes in cycles. Guy has a scare in trike, sells trike goes 3 axis then has (sometimes same scare) in 3 axis sells 3 axis and buys a bike. trikes are here to stay...
If you look at three axis aircraft nothing has really changed since the mono-plane in the early 1900s. With the exception of flaps maybe. The trike wing is very advanced development springing out of NASAs space program. The trike wing is the closest we are to copying a birds wing and by its nature is a very forgiving craft to fly.
Recent devlopements in materials and wing design are putting the trike into the same league of performance as three axis microlights. At the moment this technology is limited to the top trikes but will soon become common place. I think the unpopularity of the trike is related to relatively little developement until quite recently (or we just didn't see it in SA). My Scout is not that different to an vintage windlass in terms of technology.

The saga of The Big, The Dark and The Ugly continues! Big D is in the Kruger and I snuck out to Bapsfontein to get a fix! Sowwy ole Big one but as you know I have no wings at present and needed my drug! Something came up and the ugly one cannot take me the rest of the weekend and it is anyway so boring trekking all the way there on my own! I will await your return ole pal and we complete it together!
Yesterday my training on 3 axis continued and I can now safely say that I can take-off, fly the plane semi-decently and line up the runway in a proper gliding angle for landing - All that remains is the actual touchdown, couple of stall recoveries, emergency procedures and I will be ready to go it alone.
I think the hardest think about flying is lining up the runway and judging how far away you are from the ground, flying an accurate circuit AND not "skrikking" your ass off when you hit a bump - I therefore think that a trike background really helps alot when learning 3 axis and it looks like DH and I will both be going solo in less that 6 hours of instruction - But it is not a race and I am having fun.
As a triker, my honest opnion of 3 axis flying is that it is almost as nice as flying trikes and I do like the steep properly co-ordinated turns with the ball in the middle and the string pointing upwards - Awesome stuff :D
Pulled the stick on the challenger a bit yesterday and got a climb rate in excess of 1000fpm with instructor and student weighing about 200kg - Very impressive bird
