Count me in! Would love to be part of a big gaggle.

Dont forget the formation (gaggle)-flying pre-flight-briefing though. We don't want to make it a 'first' with gyro's taking each other out!

I am all for it provided everyone understands who's wing-man they are for the duration of the flight.

I will arrange everything ito logistic , But the brief, training and everything that goes with that would be the responsibility of yourself , Louis and other instructors , That the reason for the breakfast fly-inn so that we can get the basics , Maybe go for traing cessions , Maybe if we are (27 or more Gyros - MY dream) , We can form 4 gyro's in a group these guys then get to know each other . THe smaller groups then fly in loose formation to the bigger group. Just a suggestions .

Well your machine is sorted and ready, all we are waiting for now is the new ATF. Then a couple more circuits, pre-solo exam, you go solo, do the solo hours, (first 3 I have to do a circuit or two with you first - thereafter sign autho sheet & go), write AT&G & Principles of Flight (Gyro), X-country nav and controlled airspace experience recap, skills test with CFI and Voila!! Done!

Jabi430 is an excellent pilot and his gyro landings, takeoffs and airmanship are exemplary. He's just looking for compliments!

(If I can get him to land into wind when I chop the throttle on him then the battle is won! )

Magnifan (Jonathan), Learjet (Dave), Paul Ackerman and I have spent many hours in close formation and we would gladly give you our views on how to do it safely. (commonly known as Gyro Squadron 196). Ja ja, dis net ek wat common is.

Nothing would please me more than having a gaggle of 20+ gyro's flying into controlled airspace in one formation one day....
And doing it professionally and 'by the book'.

Well... seeing that this gaggle is going my way to Overberg - I'm in!

I will be sitting upfront in ZU-RDR in a very long Gyro Introductory Flight due to a very persistent JetRanger

A note though.... I don't want to be a stickler with flights like this but "gaggles" need clear rules... formations who with who speed radio work arrange with ATC Overberg to clear group ( some ATC's have know idea what gyro's capabilities are - ask Dave! ) altitudes flight frequency where all land to refuel etc blah blah.... besides that - I'm in for this! Len will understand how quickly "gaggles" and "leads" can become a seriously confusing situation for both pilot and ATC!

Howdy LL - have had a flight with Len already and I thoroughly enjoyed it (especially the Donkey Died part) Here I am expecting some serious stuff! My goodness what a non-event! What a total contrast to fixed wing!

As for instructors - none in FAKM!

It is common knowledge now that we are relocating to Mossel Bay at the end of October 2009 and then we are just up the drag from Cape Town! I know one serious GI there!

Okay Lennie my boy... let me rephrase : I know a seriously good GI there and I also know a serious GI there (aka JetRanger) but the latter reserved for someone else presently!
