I'm Afraid I do not see the issue, in this case it is a professional doing a show where the spectators are on top of a hill - he has plenty height to throw his reserve should he fluff a planned & practiced move. No different from any airshow move. I will admit you see some dumb things on paragliders - this is not a bad one.Tailspin wrote:Two words

BTW Microlite related - have you guys seen this one in SA @ Aviators Paradise. Note this is worst case scenario the wing has spun instead of unstalling cleanly with lines twisted & the wing cravatted which he has to fix first.

Mabe it is because i do not fly Parragliders and do not know what the stats are.


If he is good at it then good luck to him. It just makes me cringe at the sight.

I don't do Aero's myself, although I need to scare myself for training soon under controlled conditions over water.
As long as you guys are aware there is no stereotypical paraglider pilot & Aerobatics is but one of 8 Disciplines (Mine is X-country racing) of which coastal dune gale hanging is probably the most accessible.
