Pardon the ignorance, but I thought the arabs frowned upon the evils of drink etc, until they went to the decadent west that is.

All the houses of ill repute are mostly owned by the arabs. There are no bottle stores with shopfronts to attract passing trade. These are normally situated behind the shopping centre behind an obscure little door. One needs a special liquor licence to purchase liquor. The bottlestores are also mostly owned by arabs. I have seen some of them drink like there is no tomorrow.

Capitalism and free enterprise runs in everybodys' veins and beleive me the arabs are no exception.

Sharjah is a dry emirate and don't get caught there with booze. It is financed by KSA.

Strange thing is that if you get pulled over by the cops in Sharjah with booze (on the way back from Barracuda) you are in deep sh1t. The bottle store in Barracuda is in any case owned by an arab general. For those that are interested, Sharjah is the emirate one has to travel through from Dubai to get to the liquid gold (booze).

Arrived here yesterday, had a meeting in the office here and then off to Mall of Emirates and Madinat. Had dinner at The Meat Co and then stopped off at Ku-Bu (Radisson Hotel) for a few drinks, back to our hotel and a few more drinks at the Sports Bar and then The Balcony. Bed by 1am and at 7am this morning for a full day of work. Just back at the hotel and then off again at 3:30pm for another meeting.

Will have to wait and see what the plans are for tonight!!

Repaired radio fixture and fitted repaired radio (blown TX)....
Fitted NEW brake cables and are working smoothly....
