aw shucks  you're too kind.

Thanks guys. All credit to Louis van Wyk and Eric Torr for putting me through the mill.
They set very high safety and quality standards which I solemly undertake to adhere to at all times.

After the final flight test yesterday it felt as if I had been put through a washing wringer actually

Well done JR. I take my hat off to you and any instructor, I see it as charity work. Can not believe anyone will put themselves through what I have done to my poor instructor  .

Well done Len,

I know the hard work that goes into becoming an instructor so it is an achievement to be proud of. Consistency and safety is paramount and if you don't gel with a particular student don't be afraid to ask another instructor for an impartial assesment on the student.

Cheers mate (^^) (^^) (^^)

I have warned many before you. Stay away - do not climb in the front seat of a gyro. ($$)

I'm not totally stupid. You cannot teach your wife to drive or fly without placing matrimonial 'benefits' at severe risk, so I'll pass!

As for flying from the back seat, strangely I find it very easy.. perhaps the attitude is easier to judge with something in front of you? or being closer to the CofG? or as mikemat says, maybe its just a backseat driver thing

Grumpy, I don't think being clever has much to do with it, being persistent certainly has!

As for the comments from Mak about it being charity work, Thats a fact bru, no other reason one would want to expose yourself to a student intent on killing you both!
The thrill of sharing your passion with others as passionate is indescribable. Thanks for the advice Leftseat, I'll choose my students carefully since its voluntary from my point of view and not aimed at income generation. (The pay is kak anyway).

Thanks again for all the good wishes. Much appreciated. (^^)
