Ballistic chute on Raptor

Postby Dirk van Dort » Wed Nov 19, 2008 10:35 am

A fellow pilot wishes to fit a ballistic chute to his Raptor at the insistence of his softness.
He has the 582 blue top Rotax, water cooled. The radiators prvent him from mounting the chute in the normal position, below and behind the seat. is there any way that the chute can be fitted elswhere. Any help will be appreciated. thanks.

The standard for Raptors seems to be under the seat. Thats What Manfred recommended when I fitted mine.

Thanks Dirk,
we had looked at that position but thought it may be susceptible to stones, but obviously that is not the case. will go for it. Thank you.
