Gert.

You do a lot to promote our sport. Good job. (^^)

PS: Is there anybody in the southern part of Africa who hasn't gone for a flip with you?

How many hrs have you clocked up since you got your MPL?

Cheers

Cali,

Thanks,

I do the log on http://www.zu-dve.com after every flight, but was wondering how I can get more hits. Not that it matters that much, since I do it to remind myself where I've been and what I've done. Any ideas?

I have done

Total Solo Microlight Hours (SINCE 9 MARCH 2005) : 521.0
(486.9 in ZU-DVE and recently 30.8 in ZS-WUO)

And before I started proper flying I did 67 hours in a blik.

2 November 2008. Have a look at today's log onhttp://www.zu-dve.com

I took of DVE's fairing this week to see whether the absense thereof makes a difference to turbulence experienced. I also recently replaced the seat brackets. After I took off (02) this morning, apart from the fact that the wind pushes against the helmet, all of a sudden it felt as if the seat was lifting and I made a teardrop and landed on 20. On the Aquilla the seats are held to the frame by a plastic bracket, and secured with velcro. The plastic bracket had come loose, and the velcro was just holding the seat to the frame. I secured it with cable ties (see picture) and would like to know if anyone has had a similar problem, and what I could do to secure the seat better.

Ah, and I put the fairing back.

Hey Gert.
Looks like I missed a old school reunion!! Sounds like you had fun.
My boxes are at least unpacked, how can some people collect so much crap in a lifetime.....donations to charities imminent.
Will be able to escape for some airtime this weekend.
Graham.

What a super week end!! Thank you very very much for the warm hospitality and great company. The Saldanha breakfast was a lucky bonus too. Always good to see the enthusiastic fliers there.

Thanks for trusting me sufficiently and allowing me to fly WUO around Aurora. She flies like a dream, nippy and gentle. I had such fun...... played away for almost an hour all by myself, around, up and over the mountains, koppies and fields around Aurora. A definite "must fly" flip for trikes. Beautiful, facinating and a stark contrast to the Namaqualand and Boesmanland topography I am used to.

Graham, you DID miss a great get together. Hopefully we can do it again soon and have you there too.

Go well
