Silvo will remove some of the milkiness. Finish off with a none glaze and none abrasive good qaulity car polish. Stay away from car polish that remove oxidation and faded paint.
Restored both my helmets visor`s to 99% of new their new condition.
Polishing Lexan
Re: Polishing Lexan
Mmmmm. And another one that also listens to sound advice. If the scratch is deep, sand it out with 220 grit wet sandpaper, then 400 grit....and 1200 grit, followed by rubbing compound. Very course stuff, followed by burnishing compound, and a final work-out with Silvo. By then you will have forearms like Popeye, but your windows will be nice again. If the whole window becomes "milky", there is no cure. Replace. I have seen some of these expensive imports with these milky windows. Cheap lexan....

Re: Polishing Lexan
The one is spelt "SILVO" and the other is spelt "BRASSO"

Re: Polishing Lexan
Demon i really would not know. Boet seems to only use Silvo while others use Brasso. I tried Brasso and it worked ok but no fireworks, maybe you use Silvo and then report back?

Re: Polishing Lexan
3M make a complete polishing kit for Lexan & Perspex windscreens
It comprises of abrasive papers right up to 2000grit and polishing creams
Works very well, but lots of elbow grease required to remove deep scratches
Be careful of any liquid/polish that may contain solvents or ammonia, they can soften the substrate which could result in the milky appearance.
Good luck!
