Spacing Plates for IVO Prop

Postby Tailspin » Fri Sep 26, 2008 11:56 am

Hi all you clever people out there xxx

Who can tell me where to get the paperwork on how to Adjust an IVO prop with the amount of plates etc :?:

About every person i have spoken to has a different answer - or none at all.

It is for Rotax 582 Silver top .

Any help will do.

Hi Tailspin,
The take from an old (and bold!) fellow pilot...
Get yourself a proper prop, the Ivo is close to the bottom.
Warp Drive is best for trikes, indestructable yet more efficient, but heavy, will eat an Ivo* and keep flying.
The lightest, most efficient props for light sport aircraft comes from Kiev, they have orders to the roof but dave@dreamwings.co.za might eventually get you one.
If you cannot wait, The Czech Aero Prop will fly rings around the Ivo, is quite light, fairly robust and readily available from Aiden at Solo Wings. The Powerfin outa USA is more fragile and less efficient.
FlySafe!
Abe.
* and eventually your gearbox, Warp weight is way over Rotax specs.
