Experimental import

Hi Everybody,
A friend of mine wants to import a used experimental aircraft, but doesn't know where to start once he has decided one what he wants to buy. Its going to be between a RV, Glasair Lancair. Can anybody give advice.

Speak to RV4KER... He's been through that exercise with his RV.

I imported RV4 from California in 2005.... Dead simple process, but it takes time. If you not going there yourself to fetch, inspect, dismantle, pack and ship, use an agent. There are a couple dling it. I used Jeff Sharman. He was expensive but I paid money, signed doc's and collected aerie 3 months later. No CRAP. Def do it again (if the exchange rate settles) :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

On type, I would def go RV vs the others, but it depends on what he want's to do with it (MISSION) and cash (BUDGET).
