Personal pref. I like the glass but then I am a gadget/gimmick/toy kinda oukie. All works and I would far rather install minimal steam gauges and have R20K to blow on fuel than a moerse smart aerie and no money for fuel... Also depends on mission. A trike/Eggbeater (  ) with dual Cheltons, radio stack and transponder would be as stupid as an airliner with a sight ASI....

At least get a neat mount for your GPS.... http://www.airgizmos.com/paneldock.asp

As for the analogue instruments cost of ownership seems to be better - panel goes on the blink and you are grounded!

Hey G, should we put it in behind a false panel, I do love the classical steam look, especially after seeing that big prop & the radial, but maybe we should pee on Boet's battery & make him put that in too, comments????????????????

Steam instruments are good when the electrics go

I would put both in. The old ones are just incase to stop the (**) feeling

## Komputors should be left in the office. Taildragger aeroplanes with round engines and fat tackies should have STEAM GAGES, like this........nothing complicated, EVERYTHING working properly, so all YOU have to do is FLY the darn aeroplane, sit and watch the world move by, and vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy
Sorry guys, call me old fasioned if you want to, but it is not my aeroplane, so if you want to sit and push buttons instead of enjoying your flying, it is entirely up to you................

Received the radio..... and wiring loom. AND one of those "station bomb" intercom kak things. These little radios comes with an integral intercom sytem that works very good. Can we talk about it?? No, NO hard feelings. Ever. Just that the completion of this project starts looming so near, and yet so far.    ($$) ($$) ($$)

Then, on the other hand: These confounded electronic gadgetty "glass panel" anti-Christ thangs: Why do you also need to put in additional steam guages?? We do not put in Glass cockpit thangs to back-up stam guages????? Ever.
It is one or the other. NOT ferkin both. If you trust the bloody thing that little, it does not have a place in an airplane.
