ZU-AMO REBUILD
Busy rebuilding ZU-AMO after accident on 10May 2008. So far airframe almost complete, just to fit pod and instruments. Still waiting for new wing, hopefully by mid August.

Hi caneco.
You have the correct aircraft, bought from Barry in February 2008. Rebuilt engine and registered in March. Aircraft developed a problem with the wing and kept trying to dive on the last flight 10 May, ended up crashing on the landing.

ZU-AMO has finally got her new feathers and inspection. Hopefully by next weekend I will have the paper work all sorted out and fly her.

Hi Coastwise.
Your instrument panel is looking stunning.
Is it something you made or is it available. I'm rebuilding my windlass with a pod and it looks very similar. Do you think the panel may fit.
Regards,
Nico

Hi Dusty Eagle.
Did your pod not come with the panel section?
All pods are not the same size, so you would need the panel section designed to fit your pod.
If you do have a panel supplied you could go to an automotive trimmer and have it covered.
My pod was all smashed and so was the panel after the accident. I had my first taste of working with glass fibre and spraying when I did the repairs.
Bought the imitation leather to cover the instrument panel, made templates from newspaper and got the softness to do the sewing. Not the easiest job doing the glueing and stretching of the new covering, but it worked out ok.
I am not sure who the manufacturer is for the pod and instrument panel as it was on the trike that I bought.
Hope you come right with your panel.

Hi Trikenut
Wing set in the mid point, hands off cruize 75mph, confirmed with bird feeder asi against installed asi. both reading the same. Supposed to be 5mph difference per setting on the wing, so surmise about 80mph in the forward position.
