Finally I'm back in the office and online again.

Saturday 8th October I was up in JHB and Demon graciously offered to take me for a little flip. Ok I hinted big time on the forum. The wind was a little choppy but otherwise weather looked OK. My daughters boyfriend took me to Rietfontein where we met up with Demon. A quick call to Big G and Oliver was sorted for a flip as well.

Demon took a few turns so I could wave to the wife before heading off out over the Rhino Park towards the Magaliesberg mountains

While flying in the valley heading towards the dam we experienced a lot of rotor turbulance but this settled down once we got over the water

Some sneak preview of the soon to be launched Quik GT450, built by P & M aviation UK, manufacturers of the Blade and Pegasus models.

I suspect this is going send some waves thu the trike market. There is no Trike available in the world with this performace.

Speed range 40 to 95mph. Imagine a Trike with a 55mph speed envelope.
Incredible. This should be one in the eye to the 3 axis chaps.

Could cause a stir overtaking the average BushBaby inna trike hey :lol:

I see design remnants still linger like Keel fin and Kingpost arrangement, Are the Tips optional/detachable.

Wonder what large screen on Gemini would be like :?:

P&M must have experimented with rigid leading edge and topless by now, wonder if well see the next evolution as the '120 mph" trike - could be a bitch to hang onto :shock: 8) :lol:

Very interesting progression on the wing design Big-G.

That windshield looks kinda upright - drag ? (not dressing the pilot funny) :D

Awesome speed envelope will scare your Blunderturd brethren :D

Hi Guys. Believe the Winglets reduce drag. See the big airies. There are some topless trikes being tested out now.

The high winscreen is a must at the higher speeds. When I flew the Quik at over 100mph last year it was impressive how protected you are until you put your arm out. Then you realise how fast you are going.

Ian before you increase the screen on the Gemini, you must add fins to your wheel spats or you could have some problems.

Flying puts me in such a great mood; the rest of the day is a breeze :lol:

Flew for nearly an hour this morning doing circuits at Cato and a couple at Lightflight. It is all coming together now.

Being persistant with the weather (dropping at Cato on my way to work each morning) does pay off and it was awesome this morning. Took off from 35 with mist/cloud in the valley below over towards Table Mountain (the one and only!!!!!). Air was stable so the circuits were great.

Flew for the first time in nearly a month on Sunday morning. Took a chance going out to the airfield and it paid off. A bit bumpy in places and upstairs the wind was pumping but steady. Practiced crosswind landings and circuits. Had fun dodging a taildragger :lol:. Got the adrenalin going.
Have now finished the three required hours in the GF and hoping to do dual cross country this weekend ( -0< -0< weather permitting).
