AP RATING RENEWALS

Postby Sam » Tue Jun 24, 2008 4:54 pm

I have been requested to let all AP’s know what the process is to renew their AP rating.

In the MOP you will find the requirements for the renewal in 2.3.2

2.3.2 RENEWAL OF AN APPROVED PERSON CERTIFICATE

To renew an approved person certificate, the holder thereof shall

• within the 24 month period, proceeding the date of expiry of the certificate shall have carried inspections or have performed maintenance work on at least two aircraft other than his own, in the categories, ratings, classes groups and types indorsed on his Approved Person Certificate.

• Within 30 days immediately proceeding the date of expiry submit a renewal form and proof of the fore mentioned inspections to the General Manager.

Proof of inspections will be copies from the Approved Persons inspection record book. Annexure E reflects the format of the record book.

Page 41 and 42 of the MOP need to be completed as this forms the application form for the renewal of the licence.

The renewal requirements are:

1. Have you paid your Aero Club membership fee?
2. Have you paid your MISASA membership fee?
3. Have you paid the renewal fee of R100 to Aero Club?
4. Submit the completed the renewal form to Johan Lok
5. Submit proof of your experience over the past two years.

Hope this helps everybody.

The renewal form you require can be found at this page:
