vhpy had to wait for almost 2 weeks again, but went flying this morning. Some more circuits, with touch and go's.

I have the circuit flying, with checks and radio calls down now. vhpy Managed the throttle a lot better today. (I think the engine, fuel and water temp appreciates that) vhpy . On finals, lining up with the runway is good now. I now also know when to add a bit of throttle and when to back off. vhpy . Gotta work on the round-out a bit, still not comfortable with it.

Concidering that it is only my 3rd touch and go session, I am happy

This results easily with a DA of over 8000 feet! The engines performance would be very poor and your 65hp 582 would have around 40-45hp. hmmm 503...

Tracer, heed John Young's warning, it's bitten many many pilots ESPECIALLY here in Gauteng.
Tracer, sorry to hijack your topic, but this was said earlier and it has been confusing me since then, I just want some clarity.

With regards to what Dieselfan wrote, It seems like it is inferted or something. I have checked the weather here in "Die Kaap" and have seen that the QNH varies from 998 for a low and about 1008 for a high for the week to follow. I have seen 1014 to 1016(Should read one zero one six, not to offend the smiley) as highs, and with 1013.2 as normal atmospheric presure, I have to ask the following question.

How can the norm in Joburg be 1022 to 1025, and then how can it be dangerous to fly at just below normal atmospheric presure of 1012??

Sorry, you got me on that one. Maybe someone out there can draw us picture to explain it.

I will however heed John Young's warning and won't take a chance up here.

Take a pic for us of your hubby in training, maybe that smile as he gets of the trike, and post for us.

vhpy Everytime Blonde heksie goes along, she leaves the camera at home (something about waking up at 04h00 in the morning probably).

We did some more circuits on Sunday morning. It was very nice. First time that I did circuits in the first slot in the morning, so no thermals and very calm. It was fun.. :) Did both engine off and engine on landings :)

This morning we did circuits again, excellent, a bit bumpy, but that's what I like and I am used to it :). This morning I actually felt that I had more control of what the aerie does when we go in for a landing... Everytime I fly i learn something new...
