Renier,
Ek het so 3 jaar terug my trike Bettys baai toe gesleep, 'n bietjie daar gevlieg - 'n lang storie, baie mooi gewees.

What I find strange and disconcerting is that there are not so many chaps that have either seen this thread or are overjoyed by the decision?

This is good news all round, especially in terms of aircraft values where the engine has exceeded the 300hour mark or close to that.

It is also reassuring to hear that the ATF will not be refused by CAA.

A great deal of gratitude is owed to those who have dedicated so much time and considerable effort towards this cause.

Thank you, Thank you

Email got out late yesterday, I was not at a PC to post and send out comms until just now, registered misasa website users should get an email about it...

Hmmm, Now that Misasa (& Aeroclub) have fought the evil CAA  and saved you R15,000 on your 300H mandotary overhaul, to get it extended to double 600H put some of that saving towards joing those organisations

Let's hope we get the actual document soon, and there are no changes!

Regards
Rudi

As I read this, it is only the issue of the alternative maintenance schedule. What has been done about the "owner maintenance"?? For me they go hand in hand.

Thanks anyway for this schedule MISASA. You've earned a couple of good point here. Misasa 1 - 0 CAA (^^)

Hi Wargames,

I think it is Misasa 1/2 point and CAA 1/2 point.

Both did not get exactly what they wanted:
CAA realy wanted Serious Forced Maintenance done,
We flyers did not want any forced maintenance,

it looks like it settled somewhere in the middle , which I think is OK, given the circumstances, if both parties felt they gave up something but stil got something...

On the Owner maintenance, they are working on it...
James Pitman wrote:the bad news - notwithstanding commitments by CAA members, little other progress has been made on NTCA issues - It is very difficult to deal with an organization which does not fulfill undertakings!
...Go wish the guys your support on the MISASA website, they need recognition, so they keep fighting the fight! You can send them a private message from the MISASA website! http://misasa.flyeaaforum.com/?p=469

Sometimes a trait of a good decision. It is quite opposite to some who always believe in a win win situation - however in times of negotiation - if both parties walk away unhappy - it means each gave up something.

Well done guys.
