Got my License

Went flying this morning, sometime around 08h30. It was a bit choppy, until we reached altitude, but it was great, we even passed over a couple of clouds

Next flight we are going to start with circuits, now the real work starts, can't wait.

Tracer, sounds liek you are having fun, yip I echo Diesel's sentiments that QNH at highveld of 1012 spells bad news.
I got a video of me taking off at oom Flo's place once, weather not lekker, tailwind, very hot, and i am heavy so call it 2up - Gemini only got airborne where the nice grass at aero 57 stops and the brown stuff begins next to trees - I got a lovely vid of the N14 VERY CLOSE, you can almost see the expression on a taxi driver's face saying "Eish wena"

Yip Bid D, I am enjoying it a lot. Taking a chance with the take-off there will be dangerous. I don't think that the traffic on the N14 will give you a gap to join them by hooking a left turn there.
Today we went out and I got my first feel for flying circuits. It was cool, learned to do a precautionary landing as well.
So I did my first pacth flying today

I don't want to warn to about this, but it is something you need to know man. "It all started with aa dream!!". You have heard this before. Well, this also applies for your handbrake. Just remember that certain brooms can be very expensive. And some have the urgency to do conversions very quick to something "faster". But the problem really starts when they start learning the skill to your mother in law. And then when she starts flying faster than you, oh boy, then your "K&K is geboek ne".
Talk to us if you have a problem, but the best advise I can give on this "problem", is to fly as regular as you can. That is the only place where you will experience the freedom you want. And although they will be on your tail watching your every move, you won't mind it being in your aerie.
Safe flying.
