[quote="demon"]Ian - you got me on those two :twisted: :?
quote]

On my first pic (taxi down the runway), and I need to apologise... only read the first few pages of this thread now.. :oops: James's beautiful Evas field again

2nd pic (AC's parked with sticks in paint tins) is a bit unfair I guess :?
Its (was) the parking area at Heilbron airfield, now the local driving training area ..... while we were parked there a red golf was zooming around with pupil knocking them all over... :lol:

Cheers ian

Wargames wrote:Very nice pics you have. Soon I'll try and spoil you with my own, but meantime I must keep guessing yours. Can't you guys maybe give out some gps co-ords together with name, so that google earth junkies(like myself) can take a virtual trip.

here you go

Heilbron = S27 16.743 E27 59.507

and (seeing as I all but gave it away anyway).. S29 29.389 E30 16.301

Some Interesting reading for a Friday. look at this

Postby ZULU1 » Fri Feb 15, 2008 7:06 am

Bored with 582 cranks so I thought would attach some culture. whilst doing a project in England a while back, I flew down the Ironbridge gorge, Shropshire UK (couldnt fly lower pity) and this is the start of the Industrial revolution. This bridge was made entirely of cast iron and built in the same way as if it was wood. If visiting the UK its worth a look to see where we have moved on from.

Nice pic Paul. My wife is from that part of the world (Brummie).

Hi Paul. When is the Battlefields trip? I would love to come, depending on schedule and whether plane is sold.

Actually the 1st and 3rd are the same place, 2nd you're right.

1st and 3rd = its a small strip 3 miles to the east of Villiers called Grootdraai, the farmer is very happy for others to pop in and makes for a great refuelling/rest point if you fly with ground crew (good road access for them)

:oops:

Thanks Barry. I love travelling and have an interest in what is around me...so I know a lot about places in SA. I just wish I could fly to most of them some day and not just see by road.
