Last friday morning 5 trikes took off in big windy and cold conditions for barberton. Head wind was strong and i was just waiting for the call to say we turning back. But it seems that we were all too adamant to do this trip and pushed on. By the time we reached Witbank we CLIMBED and found a beautiful stable tail wind and clear skies all the way to Carolina.
Carolina was partly closed in by clouds so low level for approx 15 min to the field. That was one very very bumpy ride with loads of experience gained. A short refuel at Carolina and off again onto badplaas then Barberton. Flight ended with beautiful weather into barbs and we touched down at pyramid (barberton) after 3h20 min, i think.
Pyramid is a fantastic airfield, extremely well kept and Brian is a great guy. A big thanks to Brian for all the assistance over the weekend and for making such a beautiful place available to us microlighters.
The rest of the weekend was full of amazing flying to gods woindow, numbi, sabie, kaapmiuden, over rivers, dams, mountains valleys and all around, including extreme short filed landing, water drops and sugar cane low level

The group was great with 13 people all inn. With two long time flyers like Captain Reynolds and Brian around there was no shortage of awesome flying stories around the fire and videos.
A massive thank you to Captain Reynolds for arranging this weekend and guiding us through the trip, we learnt so much over this period and could not have done it without you. Please secure my place for next years trip.
All in all there were big smiles from everyone over the weekend and this is a trip not be missed EVER. I have tons of photos and will post some during the course of the day/week.
Now let me go back to dreaming about the weeknd gone by.........again!! :D :D
