Rotax 503 & 582 engine mounting brackets

Hi

Can someone tell me the deferens between the 503 and 582 engine mounting brackets. Are they the same?
I do apologize if this question came up before, and im just to blond to look for it

No they are differnt

The one has eight mounting points and the other only six. I'm not sure which is which

Ask Derick (Flightstar) on this forum. He bought my 582 to replace his 503 on an Aquilla. He did not have to replace the engine mount. He left the engine mount in place, and bolted the engine straight onto it as far as I know (The four bolts that screw into the engine block).

The engines weights are not much different, so you should not have a huge problem with balance. Also make sure the mounts are strong enough for the extra horses and torque. Of course you need to properly mount the radiator (and oil tank if you have oil injection).
