spuitwerk

Postby joop groot nuelend » Mon Jan 15, 2007 10:20 pm

Hallo Ian

Ek hoop my vertaaling is goed.

Hi Ian,

I saw you concerntrated a lot of attention on the paintwork, which will certainly determine the value as well as adding to the durability of the finish

On completing the aircraft I had all the various parts sprayed internally with wax (I am presuming "was" is wax and not wash) as we do to autos

The next line I have no clue

Do you know the Yahoo group

The next line says: it is not tectyl, but a type of wax.

Do your self a favour and visit Joop's web site.
He built a stunning Savannah and has some excellent protographs of the process.

The site is in Dutch but you can get a reasonable (sort of) translation by going to babel fish http://babelfish.altavista.com/ and then entering the web address (http://www.grootnuelend.nl/) in the field marked "Translate a Web page"

Yes, Joop built a stunning Savannah, I especially like the paint scheme which seems to take the harsh box lines away.

I have used some of his suggestions and small mods, specifically the re-inforcing of the front axle.

Amongst others, he has added flap indicator, dual brakes, Hi brite LEDs on the wings, auto Hobbs run, fuel lock prevention in the header fuel tank and a more powerful heater reticulation (which we certainly don't need in SA !)

A good, very helpful aviator :)

Cheers ian
