Savannah Africa Cape Tour

Postby John Waterson » Sun Dec 24, 2006 4:58 pm

Due to numerous requests from the Cape, Wouter and I will be doing a Cape tour with the Savannah in January.

Our planned route is as follows:
Out of East London,
Queenstown,
Aliwal North,
Bloemfontein (New Tempe),
Kimberley (Barkly West),
Upington (Kakemas),
Carnarvon,
Calvinia (Loeriesfontein),
Saldanha,
Koeberg,
Stellenbosch,
Bredasdorp (Overberg),
Swellendam,
George,
Paradise Beach,
Uitenhage (Progress),
Port Alfred,
Home.

Those wishing to enjoy a demo flight in the Savannah must please let us know what their preferred airfield is. This way we can finalise the best possible route to try to accommodate as many as possible. Email us at etna@sainet.co.za or phone 043 7321 321 Cell 0833 626 988

We would be very grateful for any info regarding airfields, flying club contact details, fuel availability and accommodation.

Hi Morph

Many thanks for your kind offer.
ZU-EDZ
Will give you a call as soon as we have dates sorted.

Please send PM

Hi Boet

Many thanks to you too.

We won’t need the runway thanks. You could just drop the net on your tennis court. That should be OK.

Am a little confused, did you say civilization.

Will give you a call as soon as we have dates sorted.

Hi Bryan

Same response.

Thanks for your contribution re Cape Tour.

Time limitations primarily.
We have been to both Wonderboom and Tzaneen airshows.
Also have two Aircraft flying in the Gauteng area but none in the Cape.

Thanks All

John

Don't let Kortbroek see that one! He'll say "see airstrips killed off the flora and fauna!"

Hello John :D
You're Welcome here too.
I'm on your route between Kimberley and Upington.
I'm about 80km south of Kuruman towards Danielskuil.
Runway 1000m.
What kind of plane is the Savannah? Never seen one.

Hi Ian

From what I have seen, with your progress on the Savannah, you should be able to join us. Falcon is keen. Perhaps we could persuade Iceman as well, he should be airborne this week.

Thanks Yoda

Will keep your spot in mind. Not sure where we will be overnighting at this stage. Could you PM co-ords and Ph No. Not sure why my pics are only visible unless logged on. Even I don’t see them unless I am logged on. Very Strange.
