It is totally unfair of you to report such nonsense when us mere mortals are stuck behind a desk in an airconditioned office trying to make small talk (talk that procludes anything aviation is considered small talk) to work colleagues, whilst staring out of the window at the big blue windless sky

Worst part of being an "Oupa" - I missed the grandkids so much we went down to them at Ramsgate for the weekend (from Klerksdorp). Saw the grandkids but did no flying and the weather there was puuurrrfect.

Did see Bravo India Whiskey flying a lot. Is he on the group? After all the low flying problems he flew real high and safe. The view from up there must have been great.

Hey it's not our fault we live in a beautiful part of the country where the sky is blue, the grass is green(in winter nogal), the mountains are majestic, the sea is shimmering...(Griff, do you think I've rubbed in in enough?) :D :D :D :D

Oh! I nearly forgot. In between all this I did another 2 1/2 hours of flips (oops. Lesson 3 air experience flights) for tourists. Saw dolphins jumping out the back of waves, saw whales with calf, saw naked girls at Umhlanga Lagoon - yeah!).

Sadly yes........., but half of them are flyable, the rest of the days are perfect for....
Wind surfing, Kite Surfing, Paragliding, biking (motor and mountain and road) diving, boating, skiing, camping..... :D :D :D

Now to rub it in...

In KZN, at least when you are 20nm inland, the weather is near perfect all year round. In the summers we can fly at 5:30am and again at 5:30pm and still have plenty of light. In winter, we never reach those freezing temperatures that the rest of the country has to deal with and again the weather allows many hours of flying.

The choice is:- Wine or Weather?

Flew Aquilla 503 (ZU-DAP) on training flight from Cato to Tala Valley. Did excercises 6-11, 17, 21 & 22.

I tried smoking it but it just gave me an allergy and tastes like cows#$t. I think the dudes in DBN have better poison than we do. . I also tried to sniff coke but it kept on running off the mirror

BTW Wart, summer time the sun sets here at 20h30. Talk about long beautiful sunsets and 3 hours of flying time after work :D
