To all African Skies readers: I am delighted to let you know that, in partnership with my sister, I have bought African Skies in its entirety as a going concern from Konrad Geyser. With the negotiations having taken a bit longer than anticipated, as well as having done some strategic forward planning, we thought it wise to change the June/July issue to July/August. We will still produce six issues per year, but it means we will be able to catch up on the production bottleneck by the Sept/Oct issue, and then get the Nov/Dec issue printed in good time before the printers close down for their annual shutdown over Dec/Jan. With this timing we will be up and running and back at the printers with the Jan/Feb issue without any further holdups. The printers will be delivering the July/August issue at the end of this week and copies will be mailed out to subscribers and advertisers with a dash of speed. We would like to reassure all of you that we will do our utmost not to fall prey to the pitfalls of irregular publishing, as we realise full well how important it is to retain the confidence of subscribers and advertisers. We'd like to thank you for your patience and understanding, and extend our thanks and appreciation for all the support and good wishes we've been receiving. African Skies is dedicated to the promotion of all aspects of adventure flying in Africa - let's do it together.
If you have any queries, please feel free to contact me.
Here's to blue skies!

Nice one Scribbles and best of luck!

I look forward to my copy in about 10 days then.

By the way, you still owe us a visit in KZN where you can also meet Mrs. JY. We are a lot better behaved than the Cape Town Gang with Morph and co. You won’t fall off your chair here.

No visual on it (the issue formerly known as the June/July issue) yet. Is it now going to be called the August/September issue when (?if) we receive it in September?

Running out.
