If I am going somewhere, then high is good, better TAS, smooth ride, navigation is a breeze, you can see for a zillion miles, better fuel consumption, although I guess that does not count for a trike, unless you had some form of mixture control, or vacuum carbs that compensate for altitude.
I like high.
But of course, buzzing around the patch at sunrise or sunset at 500' has its own kind of special.
The problem with buzzing around at 7500' under the JHB TMA is too many unguided missiles in blik aeries at that altitude, not looking out the window, with no idea how to use a radio properly.
Anybody who has heard the Mumbai crowd from SAFTA down at Heidelberg will know exactly what I am talking about.
