Some photos from my trip to Kokoriba from Potties over the weekend. TC met me at Warmbad on Thursday, and I went to visit him @ Ntokozo on Friday. So The Yellow Cobra had the privilege of doing some flying with the "Disco Ball"!

I just had to land on Warmbad on my way to Kokoriba. I couldn't feel my fingertips anymore - it was moer koud! Oom Lambada (Buckeye) - WAAR WAS JY MET DIE KOFFIE? Ek weet ek het gese ek sal maar net bietjie land en warm word - maar ai ek het gesmag na 'n ou bietjie boeretroos!

Ek het gedink die weer gaan jou by die huis hou..
Ek het vir jou n paar cloves gekoop wat jy met welcro op die controle bar sal kan vassit..Dit is van die soort wat die ouens gebruik as hulle iets warm optel..jou hele hand slide daarin...van die soort wat nie vingers het nie..!!
Dis so goedkoop as jy nie daarvan hou nie gee dit vir jou sussie..Dit sal goed werk om die pan uit die stoof te haal..!!!

Jimmy is daar met my Bantam en het kanne as julle juice nodig het..of slaapplek en hy sal verduidelik waars die garage of self ry..

So wanneer kom julle?

There from the West - route over Tribal's place then Warmbad / Nylstroom - Potties. Bring tente en slaapsakke - dis die bosveld hierdie...

. Pasop net ons het 'n GROOT wasmasjien op finals hier op Potties - powered approaches!

Dis daai berg hier net wes van ons - hy maak oulike dinge met die wind!

(And of course - there will be krummelpap, sous en skaapribbetjies..)

And fuel /beer runs etc. If you need to get into town - our field is actually on the verge of town, reg langs die gholfbaan - 5 minute en jy is in die hoofstraat. I'll camp with you, and provide transport as and when needed.

The scenery is great.You have the perfect mix of wide open spaces, 3500 ft amsl, (Springbokvlakte), coupled to the Eastern slopes of the Waterberge, rising up to 6000ft amsl, valleys, dams, orchards, wildlife, etc. Truly a lovely "General Flying Area." With outlandings included.

You can take of here, climb 3000 ft and still be only 500 ft agl. depending on your direction. Next second the ridge passes under you and you are suddenly WAY above the ground again. Scary and Great!
