Customs - points of exit??

Postby LarryMcG » Mon Jul 16, 2012 3:12 pm

Hi All

We are planning a good one for next year - Ec - Botswana - Caprivi - Namibia.

Anybody got any info on where we can clear customs on the way to Gaberone, Botswana??

Obviously Bloem is an option, but very far for ac with limited range. Mafekeng International? Kimberely??
Any suggestions or info?

Thanks a mil

Lm

EC to Gaberone, I would say Pilanesberg is the logical one.

Is Pilanesberg still open? Thought there were a number of issues:
1) losing customs status to mafikeng
2) airport closed entirely

Not sure what became of these though...

Thanks, Guys

Looks like Pilanesberg, or possibly Mafikeng - would be better for us!

Phone both airport operators directly. I have not been following that closely, so I don't know the status of the change over (if it happened at all)...
