I would say Aquilla is faster due to the smaller wings...14 vs 17...15 vs 17 :?:

My Aquilla 1 cruises at 50mph hands off...I normally cruise at 55mph and that is comfortable...this is with my 503 :)

Lol...we should have a trike shootout...a trike air race :)

A trike is supposed to go slow. What do you call a "race" to see who is the slowest?

Hi whats the history behind the raptor trikes? Why did he stop making them?

As for cruising speed, my wing is very fast and must admit that in our gaggle of trike, my Raptor and that of WhiskeyFoxtrot is the fastest but the Aquilla's are right there with us. Even though my wing is big, it is very fast since the day I got it.

As for why Manfred is not making them anymore, don't know. From what I heard but can be wrong is that Manfred just had enough of legislation etc. and did not want to continue making new trikes and I guess other business opportunities came up. He is still at Tedderfield with workshops so will take in any trike for repairs. He did my engine as well as wing repairs. Parts are readily available and if there is anything specific, it can be made by Manfred (^^)

Manfred gave up making trikes as the demand just wasnt there. When i ordered my trike from him in 2006 there was a six month waiting list for one ! Can you believe how times have changed. Mabey when times get better things will change.... who knows?.

Anyway, fly safe... and try not to freeze your nuts off this winter! ** ** **

Later (!!)

P.s. Raptor trikes are like their owners " fast and easy ! ".... hehe s019 s019 s019 s019 s019 s019 s019

Thanks guys! I'm a little stuck now though, can get a raptor for a good price, nice instruments tho with highish hours, also considering ZULU1... There's also an adventure trike (also raptor) which was advertised long ago, not sure if its still available. Good price there for what you get! Wont have a clue til I fly a raptor. Anyone know of a raptor near nelspruit??

Hey Beefmaster! Have you 'checked your PM and have no message', or perhaps, and please excuse the question but just trying to assist, do you possibly not realise that you 'have PM as a FUNCTION'?

If the latter, go to 'User Control Panel' at the top, then click on the 'Private Messages' tab, then click on "inbox'! We all have PM (Private Messaging) as an option. Great way to take the rabble out of copy on something slightly more personal!!

Cheers! (^^)

When you recieve a PM, you should get a pop up on the screen when you log on. Also you will recieve an e mail notifying you of the message with a direct link to your ML inbox. (^^)

If not, then they sent it to the wrong bloke

Thanks Alan! She is beautiful! I wish I could take accolades for her, but she came like that!!! She used to fly in the Trike Snake Formation Team . . . . that's her claim to fame, so I have a long way to go to take her to those heights again!!

I have been trying the think of a name for her, but it escapes me . . . . maybe I should start a competition!!!
