Aero Club of South Africa Insurance
We are approaching finality regarding the Aero Club of South Africa insurance policy document covering personal indemnity with the Approved Persons ( AP) scheme covering the AP's and members operating in competitions which will be covered in the modified wording finalising this policy.
There are current exclusions for Air shows as this element still needs further work. We have ensured that the process of ensuring correct cover at an affordable price has been a challenge especially due to limited data available to accurately apportion risk.
Aviation Maintenance Organisations (AMO's) that utilise AP's will have their AP's excluded while working for the AMO. Cover for an AP working within this environment need to ensure that these individuals are covered under the AMO's business policies.
The Cover is detailed as follows:
A) Section 1: Premises Legal Liability R 10 000 000 any one accident
B) Section II: Hangar Keepers Legal Liability R10 000 000 any one accident
C) Section III: Products/Repairs Legal Liability R10 000 000 any one accident
*Note:
Section III Limit is reduced to R 100 000 for each occurrence in respect of "AP Scheme"
Section I, II and III Limit is reduced to R 90 000 each and every claim
The cover will be in place with immediate effect with payment subject to AeCSA approving the final wording.
The exact wording of the policy will be placed on our AeCSA website once approved.
