No - you don't want to see his rugged chiselled good looks following his fair share of oopsies. Believe me. vhpy

I spoke to him after posting this and to give you an idea of his modesty...quote " I had to do a go around as it was gusting 45 knots at 1,000ft South Westerly" I was shaking when I landed...he will reply in due course as he has many hours over December and a tad tired..I will post his pic in the morning...forgot to mention that the 10,000 hrs are total time as he is also a ppl with many types on his licence....But those who know him will realise he has had several nasty skin bits removed over the years. Great bloke and very modest..His first student was in 1995 and he has in excess of 350 students through the school, but I hope he will reply the exact details on this forum. Not a person to blow his trumpet, but hes my mate and deserves the praise !

Its really good stuff for the sport and those who wish to learn a little, go fly with him for an hour...we have had some great fun over the years and between us developed a very special grading system, to fully understand you have to visit Ballito...

Well done DJ !

Well Done Dave.... (^^) (^^)

I did my license with Dave in 2009....and let me tell you I will want it no other way. He prepares a student for all conditions .... One morning he called me to say we are flying...I looked outside, it was overcast although the base of the cloud was at about 3000 feet and the wind was pumping at about 12-14 knots...

He took me up and we did circuits and he showed me what to do in these conditions, that man knows what he is talking about.

Dave Congrats... an achievment to be proud of...

Regards

Gary (^^)

Not long ago a fellow microlighter reached a milestone in his flying career (not sure how many hours but it was also a lot) and we did a little calculation into

how much fuel had been consumed
how much said fuel had cost

and most importantly

How many cases of beer had been consumed after X amount of flying....

imagine doing that in Dave's case - gonna be a lot of (^^) (^^) (^^) (^^)

Congrats
