aerial photographing over Namib

Postby skyimage » Sat Oct 09, 2010 12:59 pm

Hello, I am an Icelandic photographer interested in getting a ride on a microlight trike to take some photos over the Namib desert and along the west coast early next year. This worked really well in Iceland by hooking up with a local pilot so I thought I could ask if anyone is interested. I will be in South Africa from mid january 2011 to mid february 2011. Appreciate any response, links or info

thanks

Hi Evlar!

Wow, love your photos of Iceland (^^) (^^)

I am sure some of the local Namibian pilots, who are on this forum, will be able to help you but if you do not come right please let me know and I will make a plan.

Kind Regards,
Rudi

vhpy vhpy.
Hi Evlar,
Some of those photo's were taken from a very high altitude??? :o
For the uninformed eye some of your Iceland pics will need to be explained, as we are use to a bit of a differant view from above...however they are all very impressive..
Sure, you will be able to take beautiful pictures of our country and specially in Namibiee, witch is less unsploiled by the toutch of humans..
I live very close to JHB. International airport..Perhaps you should give me a call when you land in S.A.?????
Can promise nothing, but you never know!!! ???...082 559 6115. Paul.

Thank you for you response Paul,

Most of my aerial photos from Iceland are taken from an Air Creation Tanarg ultra light from around 200-300m height. Most of them are rivers, the different colours and flow patterns are because of the different sources, fresh water or glacier water.
My aim in Namibia or other area in south Africa is forms, colors and structures.

Thanks

Hi there skyimage...
I'd love to help when you are in Namibia...
I know a few trikers all over the B E A U T I F U L Namib and they'll surely help out. Where are you looking to take pics? PM me so that we can discuss your plans in more detail if you are keen. vhpy
I flew and saw the halo around my shadow on the cotton clouds, and I knew that this must be heaven.
