It is a common problem with so many that they "overfly" an aircraft.... all ending up with a jerky ride! :(

I started flying my Cheetah with 2 fingers after the white knuckle thing.... made the world of difference.... your inputs are softer and really all the aircraft really wanted! vhpy

This is a very interesting chart indeed. What it basically tells me from the tiny representation of the trike. Turbulence is scary in a trike compared to the others. vhpy vhpy vhpy

ja Zigzag,

a very interesting experience was teaching a high hour sailplane pilot to fly a trike. He spent the first 2 hours trying to correct every small movement of the trike, always overcompensating and completely exhausting himself in the process. After going over and over the same ground of telling him to relax, I finally told him to let the bar go completely and just control the throttle. It was a mission to get him to loosen his vice-like grip, but suddenly all the pilot induced turbulence stopped. When he suddenly realised that he needed to guide the aircraft rather than compensating for every small movement he made much quicker progress.

Wow Jetranger, good stuff.

Does prove another aspect though, and that is when the engine goes, the trike has the best chance on survival !

Less wing loading, slower speed and descent on the glide, best walk away chance.

Not in the case of the Gyro Roel....

When the donkey dies on a gyro.... it becomes a non-event really (Len has demonstrated it to me!) but I'll leave the man to explain that!
