Hey Papa G you only managed to fall in the house by knocking the door right out of the hinges, in this forum it's all about afordable aviation and engines play a big role, I hope and trust that your project will be a sucsess as we realy need some other form of a power plant for the lighter stuff. I use a 80 hp Jabiru engine and for what I fly I am very impressed.
Good luck and welcome here as well.

Agreed. I think it would be great in the Sav. Nice think is you could order the 912 mounts and jut bolt it on. John was a bit worried about the additional engineering that would be required if you use alternative eng. This sounds like it will be a dream fit....
mmmmmm 155hp would mean maybe 5 metre takeoff run

On instrument side MGL avionics in CT and easyplan guys are busy brewing a full colour EFIS and EIS. Will be more expensive than steam gauges, but promises to be competitive with Dynon and BMA and local is Lekka.
Was installed in ZU-MGL at Ysters airshow, but they keepin MUM regarding possible shipping date and cost.

he he... Mailed Rainier a couple of weeks ago about this. Maybe the Easter Bunny will have some surprizes.RV4ker wrote:On instrument side MGL avionics in CT and easyplan guys are busy brewing a full colour EFIS and EIS. I saved ±R18k when I ordered my Savannah kit by leaving out the intruments and electrics for this reason. I'm planning either a Strato ULTRA HORIZON XL or the new colour one. I've flown ±100 hours with an Ultra in my T-bird and never had a moments problems. The only steam gauge will be a 2 1/4" ASI in case of electrical failure

I also ordered the 912 engine mount (it's a beautiful piece of engineering). Held off on engine for now (don't want it rotting in the garage).
